Authorities have launched beach extension works in Eforie, a project that will cover 33 hectares.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following Mamaia and Eforie, beaches in Costinesti, Olimp, and Neptun will also be rehabilitated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The initiative is part of a large-scale beach widening project funded by European funds, valued at over EUR 800 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to representatives from Romanian Waters, this project will result in Romania gaining approximately 226.12 hectares of new beaches: Mamaia – 53 hectares, Eforie – 33 hectares, Costinesti – 16 hectares, Olimp \u2013 32 hectares, Neptun\/Jupiter – 30 hectares, Aurora\/Venus\/Balta Mangalia – 37 hectares, Saturn\/Mangalia – 20 hectares, 2 Mai – 4.5 hectares, and Agigea – 6,300 sqm.<\/p>\n\n\n
