The Employers’ Organization of Hotels and Restaurants in Romania, HORA, addresses a new message to the authorities, making an imperative appeal to rectify restrictions and adapt them urgently, in the context of the continuous decrease in the incidence rate at the national level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Thus, in an open letter signed by Ion Biri\u0219, President of HORA, the following requirements are specified:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– elimination of program restrictions (05:00 \u2013 21:00) and allowing operation between 05:00 \u2013 02:00, respecting the same access measures based on the green certificate,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– operating with up to 70% of the maximum capacity of the space<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– exceptionally allowing unlimited operating hours on New Year’s Eve<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201eIt is vital for our industry to urgently review the restrictions as December is the best month for entrepreneurs in this field, and this will be followed by two or three very weak months in terms of activity, referring to previous years. Adapting the restrictions would represent a breath of fresh air for the most tried and financially affected industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We specify that our request is also based on the particularly relevant fact that at the level of HoReCa industry operators, access is conditioned by the green certificate attesting to vaccination or recovery from the disease, and the targeted category of persons is not subject to movement restrictions. Thus, people with a green certificate can move free of restrictions at any time and are the only ones who have access to restaurants, bars, and cafes,\u201d the open letter states.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
HORA also requests the observance and extension of essential support measures for the industry’s recovery, as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– payment related to the \u201e20%\u201d measure for 2020<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– extension of the \u201e20%\u201d measure for 2021<\/p>\n\n\n
