Rehabilitation works at Bucharest Baneasa – \u201cAurel Vlaicu\u201d Airport have been completed<\/p>\n
On January 14, 2022, Bucharest Airports National Company (CNAB) completed, in accordance with legal provisions, the final stage of the reception process upon completion of works for the investment objective “Rehabilitation and refunctionalization of the interiors of buildings A, B, and Rotonda at Bucharest Baneasa \u2013 Aurel Vlaicu International Airport (AIBB-AB)”, works which commenced on September 20, 2020.<\/p>\n
We remind you that the works were completed, according to the initial plan, on November 11, 2021, and the contract value amounted to 66,629,040 RON excluding VAT (including miscellaneous and unforeseen expenses).<\/p>\n
The contractors for these large-scale works were SC Bog\u2019Art SRL (consortium leader), UTI Grup SA (associate), and UTI FM (subcontractant), with a work warranty of 73 months from the completion of the works.<\/p>\n
For the operationalization of the airport, immediately following the reception upon completion of works, preparatory activities will be finalized by state institutions (Border Police, Transport Police, Anti-Terrorist Brigade), with the reopening of the terminal for passenger traffic scheduled to take place with the start of the 2022 summer season, estimating, initially, annual values of 400,000 passengers.<\/p>\n
