Rehabilitation and modernization works totaling nearly 1 billion RON, according to data provided by the Bucharest National Airports Company (CNAB), which manages the B\u0103neasa and Otopeni airports.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, 45 airlines operate at Henri Coand\u0103 International Airport.<\/p>\n<p>Among the investments scheduled for Otopeni Airport are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>systematization of the movement surface at Otopeni Airport, in order to increase operational capacity and ensure compliance with R139\/2014;<\/li>\n<li>rehabilitation and modernization works for runway 1, including connections to taxiways;<\/li>\n<li>modernization of the Departures baggage belt system;<\/li>\n<li>water-sewerage rehabilitation works including external hydrants &#8211; consultancy, design, execution of works;<\/li>\n<li>interior redesign of the public area in the Arrivals and Departures Terminals;<\/li>\n<li>Integrated Management Center;<\/li>\n<li>northern expansion of aircraft parking platform no. 1;<\/li>\n<li>installation of an access canopy for the Arrivals Terminal;<\/li>\n<li>modernization and consolidation of the multi-story Arrivals parking lot.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Authorities announced several years ago that they would build a new terminal at Otopeni Airport, where only one terminal currently operates.
