On February 14, the Romanian Government approved the Decision regarding the establishment, organization, and functioning of the Interministerial Committee for the “Attractive Romania” program to establish the objectives included in the 12 tourist\/cultural routes of Romania’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR).<\/p>\n
The normative act establishes the composition of the Interministerial Committee, formed at the expert level, with a consultative role and no legal personality. It includes voting representatives from the Ministry of Investments and European Projects, the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Tourism, the Ministry of Culture, and the Ministry of Development, Public Works, and Administration.<\/p>\n
“Investment no. 1 within Component 11 Tourism and Culture ensures the necessary funds for the restoration of 225 sites and the promotion of 300 tourist sites to be included in 12 cultural routes. We are talking about investments in tourism and national cultural heritage of over 100 million EUR, both for the restoration of sites and for making them known and accessible to tourists, which we hope will bring added value to Romanian tourism,” stated Dan V\u00eelceanu, Minister of Investments and European Projects.<\/p>\n

Castle Route \u2013 30 sites promoted, 5 castles restored;<\/p>\n
Transylvanian Manors (curii) Route \u2013 25 sites promoted, 5 manors restored;<\/p>\n
Cule (fortified houses) Route \u2013 15 sites promoted, 5 cule restored;<\/p>\n
Traditional Romanian Gastronomy Route \u2013 30 sites promoted;<\/p>\n
Fortified Churches Route \u2013 20 sites promoted;<\/p>\n
Wooden Churches Route \u2013 30 sites promoted, 10 churches restored;<\/p>\n
Moldavian Monasteries Route \u2013 30 sites promoted, 5 monasteries restored;<\/p>\n
Saint Ladislaus Route on Romanian territory \u2013 20 sites promoted, 5 sites restored;<\/p>\n
Roman Castra Route \u2013 20 sites promoted, 5 castra restored;<\/p>\n
Citadels Route \u2013 30 sites promoted, 5 citadels restored;<\/p>\n
Restoration of the cultural landscape in the Danube Delta to increase the area’s attractiveness \u2013 30 sites promoted, 30 sites restored (households);<\/p>\n
Traditional Architecture Villages Route \u2013 20 sites promoted, 150 traditional houses restored from the 20 villages with traditional architecture.<\/p>\n
