Accommodation prices for the Easter holiday will be 10-20% higher than last year, as a result of the increase in energy and food product prices, stated Dragos Anastasiu, vice-president of the Alliance for Tourism (APT).<\/p>\n
“At the beginning of the year, interest was above last year and above 2019, because people want to move. The conflict in Ukraine appeared and an emotional reaction of waiting came, so to speak, but we see that things are starting to warm up and we are somehow at 40-50% compared to our expectations and compared to what it would have been before the start of the war,” said Anastasiu.<\/p>\n
Dragos Anastasiu estimates that the events in Ukraine will not affect Romanian tourism in the long term.<\/p>\n
