Former Prime Minister Viorica Dancila spoke about some of her future plans and made several exclusive revelations.<\/p>\n
She specified that she had discussions with the Prime Minister of Qatar regarding the House of the Free Press, for its takeover through a public-private partnership. Dancila stated that they discussed transforming the former House of the Spark (Casa Scanteii) into a 7-star hotel or an office headquarters where many companies could operate under much better conditions. The House of the Free Press is one of Bucharest’s attractions, being a monument with impressive architecture and history. Until recently, 90% of Romania’s national publications operated inside the building. Today, the building is listed in the RAPPS inventory and is in a state of degradation. Unfortunately, today, the massive spaces in the building no longer find their utility, being difficult to heat during winter. It has remained, rather, a kind of vestige of the former communist dictatorship.<\/p>\n
