HiSky Airline Opens a New Base in Bucharest<\/p>\n
A new base has opened in Bucharest at Otopeni Airport, from where HiSky airline will operate flights to Timisoara, Cluj, and Tel Aviv.<\/p>\n
In this summer, HiSky will partner with Romanian tour operators to operate charter flights to more exotic destinations.<\/p>\n
The company’s concept is called SMART COST and is based on low-cost prices, proposing a type of subscription for passengers who frequently fly on domestic routes. The flight schedule will be established based on passenger requirements.<\/p>\n
HiSky focuses on business traffic, making routes between Bucharest and major cities accessible.<\/p>\n
On weekdays, two round-trip flights depart for Timisoara and Cluj from the capital.<\/p>\n
Passengers have the option to return on the same day to the city they departed from.<\/p>\n
The HiSky fleet is composed of five Airbus aircraft, four being A320 type with 180 seats and one A319 with 144 seats.<\/p>\n
Half of the more than 200 employees are part of the flight crew, with the company’s General Manager being one of the pilots.<\/p>\n
HiSky flights depart from Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Baia Mare, Satu Mare, Iasi, and Chisinau to 10 destinations in the country and Europe, having served over 200,000 passengers from 2020 until the end of 2021.<\/p>\n
The opening of other domestic destinations in Oradea and Iasi, as well as 10 other destinations in Europe, is to follow.<\/p>\n
