The competition for the Tourist Destination of the Year 2022 in the City Break category was won by the Municipality of Ia\u0219i.<\/p>\n
The other finalist cities were Bra\u0219ov and T\u00e2rgovi\u0219te, and the ranking was established based on the votes on the destinatiaanului.ro platform.<\/p>\n
The special jury prize was awarded to the city of Bra\u0219ov, and the Destination of the Year 2022 trophy in Muntenia, Oltenia, and Dobrogea was received by the city of T\u00e2rgovi\u0219te.<\/p>\n
The jury consisted of 25 bloggers and tourism experts with personal experience related to the finalist destinations. Over 21,500 Romanians voted on the platform based on the attractiveness of the tourist objectives and experiences in the destination, community involvement through infrastructure investments and promotion over the last two years, as well as the value of the destination brand.<\/p>\n
The title won will bring the Municipality of Ia\u0219i promotion as a suitable destination for a city break.<\/p>\n
The partner for this edition of the Destination of the Year 2022 competition was the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Tourism, which joined the Alliance for Tourism.<\/p>\n
