The number of foreign tourists who visited Romania increased by 90% in the first nine months of the year, while the number of Romanian tourists grew by 9%.<\/p>\n

“For the first nine months, according to data from the National Institute of Statistics, the main indicator reflecting tourism activity in Romania – and I am referring to the number of tourists – looks very good. Compared to the indicator’s value in 2021, we have a 16% increase in the number of tourists. Approximately 9% for Romanian tourists and an increase of approximately 90% in the number of foreign tourists. I believe this is a confirmation of the sustained joint effort between authorities, operators, and the ministry to support tourism activity in Romania,” stated Minister Daniel Cadariu.<\/p>\n
