Minister of Public Finance Adrian C\u00e2ciu stated that he will propose to the Government and Prime Minister Nicolae Ciuc\u0103 the transfer of the Bra\u0219ov Citadel Complex to the municipality’s city hall, to be reintroduced by this institution into the cultural circuit. In this regard, Minister Adrian C\u00e2ciu withdrew a memorandum from the government meeting in which the Prime Minister was put in the position of deciding whether to allocate the historic monument to either the Ministry of Education for Transilvania University, as a cultural institution, or to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a hotel for the institution’s employees.<\/p>\n
Following the court’s decision, the real estate asset, which is categorized as a monument of national interest and is included as such in Romania’s National Cultural Heritage, entered the state’s public domain through the Ministry of Finance. In order to identify an entity to exercise a real right of administration over the building, the Ministry of Finance sent a circular to all ministries, and following the correspondence, only the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Internal Affairs expressed their intention to take over the administration of the building. Simultaneously, the Bra\u0219ov Municipality City Hall requested that steps be taken regarding the transfer of the building into the public domain of the municipality of Bra\u0219ov.<\/p>\n
