The Sapientia Foundation in Cluj-Napoca has started the rehabilitation of the former Melody Hotel building in the city’s central square; the edifice will also host event spaces.<\/p>\n
The property was acquired in 2020 by the foundation that manages the Hungarian University of Transylvania and has become the space for choreography and folk dance courses at Sapientia University, as well as the Cluj-Napoca headquarters of the Transylvanian House of Traditions Foundation.<\/p>\n
Both interior rehabilitation and exterior renovation works are being carried out on the former 3-star hotel building, with the facade and the entire roof structure to be renewed. Renovations will also take place in the basement, as well as in the inner courtyard located on the first floor of the historical monument building; the rooms on this floor are also to be modified.<\/p>\n
