The average length of stay in the period 01.01.-31.05.2023 was 1.8 days for Romanian tourists and 2.2 days for foreign tourists.<\/p>\n<p>The net occupancy rate of tourist accommodation places in the first five months of the year was 24.5% of total tourist accommodation structures (including apartments and rooms for rent), an increase of 2.7 percentage points compared to the period 01.01.-31.05.2022.<\/p>\n<p>By county, in the January-May 2023 period, the number of tourist arrivals in accommodation structures (including apartments and rooms for rent) recorded higher values in: Bucharest Municipality (706,200 people), Bra\u0219ov (546,000 people), and Cluj (250,800 people), while tourist overnight stays in accommodation structures recorded higher values in: Bucharest Municipality (1,425,700), Bra\u0219ov (1,016,400), and Prahova (457,300).<\/p>\n<p>By country, the most arrivals of foreign tourists staying in accommodation structures (including apartments and rooms for rent) in the period 01.01.- 31.05.2023 came from: Italy (73,500 people), Germany (71,900 people), and Israel (62,200 people).<\/p>\n<p>Foreign visitor arrivals to Romania recorded at border points were 5,120,200 people in the 01.01.-31.05.2023 period, an increase of 18.2% compared to the 01.01.-31.05.2022 period.
