In April 2024, tenders will be launched for the highway that will connect Constan\u021ba to Mangalia and will cross almost all resorts on the Black Sea coast.<\/p>\n<p>At the latest in April \u2013 May, we are launching the tenders \u2013 execution of works for Br\u0103ila \u2013 Foc\u0219ani and for Constan\u021ba \u2013 Mangalia,\u201d stated the Secretary of State in the Ministry of Transport, Ionel Scrio\u0219teanu.<\/p>\n<p>The total value of the Seaside Highway project is EUR 1.15 billion and was secured from non-reimbursable external funds.<\/p>\n<p>The route crosses the following localities: Techirghiol \u2013 Eforie \u2013 Cump\u0103na \u2013 Agigea \u2013 Topraisar \u2013 Tuzla \u2013 23 August.<\/p>\n<p>The old road to the seaside resorts will remain, while the highway will follow a completely new route.<\/p>\n<p>Technical characteristics of the Seaside Highway:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>30.59 km route length;<\/li>\n<li>two traffic lanes per direction;<\/li>\n<li>31 structures (bridges, passages, viaducts), including the construction of a new bridge over the Danube \u2013 Black Sea Canal;<\/li>\n<li>service areas (left\/right);<\/li>\n<li>parking lots (left\/right);<\/li>\n<li>Maintenance and Coordination Center;<\/li>\n<li>five road nodes: Cump\u0103na (km 2+600), Seaside Highway and connecting road (km 5+960), connection between the connecting road and the DN39A \u2013 DN39 passage (km 5+960), DN38 (km 11+000), 23 August (km 30+220).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Frequently Asked Questions<\/h3>\n<p><strong>What is the budget for the new Seaside Highway?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The project is valued at 1.15 billion EUR, funded through non-reimbursable external grants from the European Union.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Which localities will the new highway pass through?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The route will cross Techirghiol, Eforie, Cump\u0103na, Agigea, Topraisar, Tuzla, and 23 August, providing an alternative to the DN39 road.<\/p>\n<p><strong>When are the construction tenders scheduled?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Romanian Ministry of Transport scheduled the launch of execution tenders for April or May 2024.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A new highway will bring a major change to the seaside.
