The proposed runway length is 3,450 m, with the development of a 3,000 sqm cargo terminal \/ 30,172 tons\/year and 4,341 parking spaces. The investment value amounts to EUR 2 billion excluding VAT, of which the value of expropriations is EUR 10 million.<\/p>\n
Mayor Daniel B\u0103lu\u021b\u0103 says the local authority will handle the expropriations, feasibility studies, and a business plan, then seek financing solutions and partnerships, including public-private partnerships currently under discussion.<\/p>\n

The location will be established based on what the pre-feasibility\/feasibility study reveals to us. This location is not chosen subjectively. It is a consequence of these studies being conducted right now, and an extremely important factor is related to the area we will have to expropriate, because this is the fundamental role of the association with the Giurgiu County Council. We could have an area from 300-400 hectares up to 1,000 hectares.
