Year after year, Mamaia remains among the top preferences for those wishing to spend their holidays on the Romanian seaside. This season, tourism experts claim we will have more tourists than last year, with sales already surpassing 2023 levels.<\/p>\n
“Everyone has high expectations for Mamaia, but Mamaia cannot escape the national paradigm. The resort is negatively portrayed by outgoing travel agencies through various techniques to encourage Romanian tourists to go abroad. Despite this, figures for the Mamaia resort are superior from one year to the next. In 2023, there were more tourists than in 2022, and now, in 2024, early sales have shown a 25% increase compared to last year. This means a good season is ahead.<\/p>\n
Prices in Mamaia will rise at the national inflation rate. Tourist packages will be manageable, but we also have price peaks targeted at a specific category of people. There are prices for every budget. The highest prices will be during the peak season, but that is the case anywhere in the world,” George M\u0103ndil\u0103 stated.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, he specified that Romania is a wealthier country than Bulgaria and that salaries are higher, which is why rates are also higher. Regarding Greece and Turkey, prices are lower because the warm season lasts six months a year, so investments are amortized over more months than in Romania.<\/p>\n

“We have attended a few tourism fairs and will continue to go. There are results, but you have to work for them; they don’t happen on their own. We need to materialize what we achieved at these four fairs. Now we want to organize an info trip for foreigners in early July so they can see the Mamaia \u2013 Constan\u021ba destination. We must connect foreign tour operators with those in Romania because OMD doesn’t sell anything; it only manages tourism issues and promotes. We are trying to bring several flights to Mihail Kog\u0103lniceanu Airport from Poland, Italy, and Germany. We don’t know when this will happen because a flight, to come here, must be supported, and the company must have a minimum guarantee that a portion of the plane will be filled; after three flights with unsatisfactory figures, it stops.
