The Port of Constan\u021ba has EUR 1 billion in investments underway: infrastructure works, access roads, and utilities, aimed at developing specialized terminals in the Constan\u021ba South port \u2013 Piers IIIS (45 ha operating platform, 11 ha logistics area, 7 berths) and IVS (110 ha operating platform, 25 ha logistics area, 10 berths).<\/p>\n<p>CNAIR has launched a tender for the design and execution of the Techirghiol Alternative \u2013 30.59 km, the motorway that will connect Constan\u021ba to Olimp. The new motorway will start from the Cumpana Interchange (A2 \u2013 A4), continue with a new bridge over the Danube \u2013 Black Sea Canal (Agigea area), have 3 other interchanges (Agigea \u2013 Eforie Nord, Techirghiol &amp; 23 August), and reach the vicinity of the existing Olimp roundabout. The contract duration includes a 12-month design period and a 36-month execution period, with an estimated start date in 2025. The project is based on a partnership between the investor and Oil Terminal on a 38-hectare centrally located site, near the port and the train station. The investment process begins with the ecological restoration of the area; the land previously hosted oil product storage facilities and has remained unused for the last 10 years. The project will integrate urban gardens, offices, a shopping and entertainment area, educational and cultural facilities, as well as integrated infrastructure to support mobility and connectivity.<\/p>\n<p>Constan\u021ba enjoys one of the highest densities of commercial space in Romania (800 sqm\/1,000 inhabitants), due to its attractiveness and increased traffic during the summer months.
