Businessman Gheorghe Ne\u021boiu, a former MP and shareholder of the Universitatea Craiova and Dinamo Bucure\u0219ti football clubs, has sold his stake in the complex housing the famous “Doi Coco\u0219i” restaurant in northern Bucharest to Elena Borcea\u2014mother of former Dinamo Bucure\u0219ti owner Cristian Borcea\u2014and a business partner of his family.<\/p>\n
Gheorghe Ne\u021boiu owned approximately one-third of Complexul Turistic International Doi Coco\u0219i, the company through which the restaurant is operated. He has now assigned his entire stake to Valentin \u021a\u0103ranu, a business partner of the Borcea family and also an associate in the firm. The price Ne\u021boiu received for his stake was 800,000 EUR.<\/p>\n
Following the transaction, Valentin \u021a\u0103ranu, in turn, transferred a portion of the acquired shares to Elena Borcea; now, each of them holds nearly 50% of the company, with the remainder belonging to minority shareholders. Concurrently, the partners approved the issuance of the commencement order for the 102-apartment building that will replace the “Doi Coco\u0219i” complex, which received its building permit earlier this year.<\/p>\n
The company was authorized to construct a residential complex featuring two basement levels, a ground floor, and 9 floors (the top 3 being set back), comprising 102 apartments.<\/p>\n
The proposed new construction will have a total built area of approximately 18,700 sqm and will occupy about half of the land.<\/p>\n
