The situation confirms a trend of concentration of international tourism in large urban centers, the capital being a main destination for city-breaks, attracting visitors especially from Europe and the Middle East. <\/p>\n<p>After the capital, the counties with the highest share of foreign tourists are Ilfov, with 42.57%, Timi\u0219, with 29.63%, and Sibiu, with 28.68%. This contrasts sharply with the situation in other regions of the country, where the presence of international visitors is insignificant. The counties with the lowest percentage of foreign tourists are Vaslui (3.74%), Caras-Severin (3.67%) and Gorj (3.66%), while Valcea county has the lowest figure in this respect, with only 2.09% of visitors coming from outside the country.   <\/p>\n<p>Experts are also noticing a phenomenon of &#8220;touch and go tourism&#8221;, prevalent in cities like Sibiu. This describes short visits, where tourists stop just to photograph a famous sight without taking the time to explore the destination in depth.
