The new advanced deadline for the relaunch of the 5-star unit is the winter season 2026-2027, a shift from the original plan, which had aimed to reopen in the winter of 2025. <\/p>\n<p>The decision has been taken to allow an extensive renovation and modernization process to take place. The investments cover infrastructure, technical systems and other solutions aimed at increasing comfort while preserving the historical elements of the property. The hotel, which was taken over by the Romanian-Lithuanian consortium in the fall of 2024, was closed in the summer of 2023 by the former owner, the American investment company Z Capital Partners, citing rising energy costs. Z Capital Partners had acquired the complex in December 2015 and carried out a complete renovation in 2016.   <\/p>\n<p>Situated in the Flims\/Laax mountains at an altitude of 1,100 meters, the Waldhaus Flims Wellness Resort is a historic property built in 1877. The resort consists of four interconnected Belle \u00c9poque-style buildings totaling almost 150 rooms and is set in the largest hotel park in Switzerland, offering guests an extensive wellness area, six restaurants and bars. <\/p>\n<p>For Pav\u0103l Holding, this acquisition marks the second major investment in the international hotel market, following the acquisition of the historic Grand Hotel Gardone in Italy in 2023.
