After the completion and unveiling of the renovated facade of the iconic building, public anticipation for the opening was replaced by news of a significant delay. The estimated opening date for the future Hotel Indigo is now September 2025. The main reason for the postponement is a complete overhaul of the interior design concept. The project team has abandoned the originally intended style in favor of a new aesthetic approach, considered more appropriate for the brand standard and identity. This decision meant that part of the design process had to be restarted and the timeline was extended. <\/p>\n
Work on the interior is currently at an early stage, with only two model rooms, each with a distinct design, fully completed. These serve as prototypes to facilitate the choice of the final version that will be implemented throughout the establishment. It is estimated that the completion of the interiors will require about one year of hard work. <\/p>\n
The project is being developed in partnership with Hotel&More Group, which will operate the hotel. The group’s founder, Bal\u00e1zs Klemm, reconfirmed the commitment to excellence, stating that it is an honor to realize this project together with IHG Hotels & Resorts and that the future hotel will be an imposing establishment, aligned to the highest international standards. Hotel&More is a company specialized in strategic and operational consulting for the hotel sector and real estate development. <\/p>\n
The affiliation with Hotel Indigo integrates the Satu Mare establishment into a global network of boutique hotels, with presences in destinations such as New York, Hong Kong and Bali.
