The tunnel boring machine is 97 m long, 600 t and has a 6.6 m diameter drill head. <\/p>\n<p>The first underground section measures 902 m, with 602 tunnel rings installed. In parallel, TBM &#8220;Sf\u00e2nta Ana&#8221; excavated 406 m and installed 265 rings, also towards B\u0103neasa Airport. <\/p>\n<p>The SOUTH section of Magistrale 6 includes 6.6 km of tunnel, with six stations and six interchanges, which will link the 1 Mai &#8211; Tokyo &#8211; Otopeni Airport area.<\/p>\n<p>Metrorex Director General Mariana Micl\u0103u\u0219 said that the works are going according to plan, emphasizing the financial, technical and human effort involved.<\/p>\n<p>Magistrala 6 is considered a strategic project for Bucharest&#8217;s transport system, designed to streamline urban traffic and provide a direct link to Henri Coand\u0103 Airport.<\/p>\n<p>Line 6 will have a total of 12 stations:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>South Section (6.6 km): 1 Mai, Pajura, Expozi\u021biei, Pia\u021ba Montreal, B\u0103neasa Station, B\u0103neasa Airport, Tokyo;<\/li>\n<li>Northern Section: Washington, Paris, Brussels, Otopeni, Br\u0103tianu, Otopeni Airport.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The project is considered vital for urban traffic flow and direct connection to Henri Coand\u0103 Airport.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Metrorex has announced that the &#8220;Sf\u00e2nta Maria&#8221; tunnel boring shield has completed the first tunnel segment on Magistrala 6, between the future Tokyo and Aeroport B\u0103neasa stations.
