The meeting marked the re-launch of the partnership for the sustainable development of the Delta and the ecological valorization of the D\u00e2mbovi\u021ba river. <\/p>\n<p>The discussions focused on the need to digitalize the Administration of the Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve and on the creation of a low environmental impact tourism model, focused on:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Slow and nature-friendly tourism,<\/li>\n<li>involving local communities,<\/li>\n<li>protecting biodiversity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In the next two weeks, the Ministry will launch an inter-institutional working group for sustainable tourism, aimed at creating a legislative framework adapted to the specific features of the Delta.<\/p>\n<p>The partner organizations presented their vision for transforming the D\u00e2mbovi\u021ba River into a green-blue corridor at metropolitan level. The solutions tested include: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>floating barriers for waste collection,<\/li>\n<li>smart pontoons to monitor air, water and noise quality,<\/li>\n<li>open data system for citizen engagement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Ministry has expressed its intention to extend this model nationwide, in collaboration with Romanian Waters, with D\u00e2mbovi\u021ba as a pilot project<\/p>\n<p>To strengthen her expertise in the field of biodiversity conservation, Minister Diana Buzoianu has appointed Atena Groza as honorary advisor.
