The company&#8217;s growth plans are also anticipated to introduce the Residence Inn by Marriott and Four Points by Sheraton brands in the country, while expanding its presence in five destinations across the country. <\/p>\n<p>Important aspects of the company&#8217;s growth in Romania by the end of 2028 include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The planned opening of the Residence Inn by Marriott hotel in the Cosmopolis area of Bucharest, marking the introduction of the extended-stay brand in the country.<\/li>\n<li>Four Points by Sheraton&#8217;s early entry with an opening in Cluj-Napoca, a city renowned for its historical and archaeological heritage.<\/li>\n<li>Courtyard by Marriott&#8217;s planned continued expansion across the country, with openings scheduled in Timisoara, Sibiu and C\u0103lim\u0103ne\u0219ti-C\u0103ciulata.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Marriott&#8217;s operations in Romania currently include six properties and over 1,380 rooms in Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca. Brands currently present in the country include JW Marriott, Sheraton, Autograph Collection, Moxy Hotels and Courtyard by Marriott. Romania is also home to five brands in the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio.  <\/p>\n<p>Courtyard is the largest brand in the Classic Select category of the Marriott portfolio. The first Courtyard opened in 1983 in Atlanta (USA). Since its launch, Courtyard has been positioned as the first hotel built for business travelers.  <\/p>\n<p>There are now more than 1,250 Courtyard hotels in more than 60 countries around the world.<\/p>\n<p>In Romania there is another hotel under this brand, in the Floreasca district of Bucharest, opened in October 2019, an investment of almost EUR 22.5 million. <\/p>\n<p>The Marriott Group has a portfolio of over 20 hotel brands, including Courtyard, Fairfield Inn, Ritz &#8211; Carlton, Bulgari Hotels and JW Marriott Hotels.
