Even after the collapse of the calcareous tufa formation known as the &#8220;mushroom&#8221;, Big\u0103r retains its unique beauty and charm. <\/p>\n<p>The waterfall is located in the county of Caras-Severin, in south-western Romania, in the heart of the Cheile Nerei &#8211; Beusni\u021ba National Park, a protected natural area with landscapes of rare spectacular beauty. The park is one of the 22 national and nature parks administered by Romsilva and covers an area of 37,100 ha, of which almost 30,000 ha are covered with forests. Around 14,500 ha are strictly protected areas, where nature evolves without human intervention.
