The Israeli-owned developer Hagag Development Europe, controlled by businessman Yitzhak Hagag, is negotiating an agreement with a renowned international hotel chain to operate the former headquarters of the Institute for Hydropower Studies and Projects (ISPH) after converting it into a hotel. Negotiations are now being held with the Radisson group, which wants to open an 80-room Radisson RED hotel on the ISPH site. The Radisson RED brand, aimed at mature hotel markets, is part of the premium lifestyle hotel category, combining the personality of a boutique hotel with the affordability of a hotel chain. Radisson opened its first Radisson RED-branded hotel in south-eastern Europe in Belgrade last year. The entire network comprises 27 hotels, mostly in Europe and mostly 4-star.
