The Romanian Hotels and Restaurants Employers’ Organization (HORA) in collaboration with Edenred, launches “\u021aara lui Mai Bine”, the first national project that supports and facilitates the connection of Romanian producers with restaurants across the country. The aim of the project is to support Romanian producers to expand their outlets and to encourage the production of local products and dishes, promoting sustainable consumption. “\u021aara lui Mai Bine” responds to a growing need on the local market: encouraging the consumption of local products and creating a strong link between producers and the HoReCA sector. Through the new project, Edenred continues its mission to promote a balanced diet while supporting the development of the local economy and agriculture. Data from the FOOD 2024 Barometer, a survey carried out by Edenred in 22 countries, including Romania, showed the increasing demand for healthy local products and the challenges restaurant owners face in meeting this demand, with 53% finding the preparation of healthy meals more demanding. The figures also highlight a significant shift in consumer preferences, with consumers not only wanting healthier food but also locally sourced ingredients. The study shows that restaurants in Romania are responding to this demand, with 70% of them changing their suppliers to offer healthier dishes and local products. In this context, “\u021aara lui Mai Bine” plays a key role, supporting both consumer demands and the development of the local economy by strengthening the direct link between producers and restaurants. The project builds a functioning system and cross-sector partnership that brings local producers to the forefront, recognizing the value of their products and the positive impact they have on healthy restaurant menus and the national economy. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
