Secretary of State at the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development (MIDR), Mircea Pasc\u0103lu\u021b\u0103, together with his Romanian counterpart, Irinel Ionel Scriosteanu, met in Ungheni, where they had a first technical discussion on the construction of the bridge over the Prut at Ungheni in the Republic of Moldova – Ungheni in Romania. The talks were attended by representatives of the local administration, the State Road Administration of the Republic of Moldova, the representatives of the designer, Like Consulting SRL, and the constructor, Ness Project Europe SRL. The purpose of the meeting was to identify the organizational moments related to the realization of the technical project. The officials paid a field visit to the Prut River, the site where the new highway-level bridge will be built. “For the successful completion of the project, all the institutions involved and local authorities on both banks of the Prut need to be well mobilized so that the joint organization of the construction site can be carried out as efficiently as possible,” said Mircea P\u0103sc\u0103lu\u021b\u0103. The Ungheni – Ungheni bridge is part of the Union Highway, which connects the cities of T\u00e2rgu Mure\u0219 – Ia\u0219i – Ungheni – Chisinau and is the link between Moldova’s road network and the European Union’s highway network.
