The Best Western Bucovina Hotel and the Arinis Inn in Gura Humorului were put up for sale by SC Casa de Bucovina – Club de Munte SA, where the main shareholder was SIF Muntenia, now the new owner of the two locations is the Best Hotels company in Gura Humorului.
\nIt has taken ownership of the four-star Best Western Bucovina Hotel in downtown Gura Humorului.
\nThe hotel has 220 accommodation places distributed in 42 twin rooms, 42 double rooms, 38 single rooms, 4 junior suites, two suites and two VIP rooms, two restaurants, a SPA area, a children’s club with indoor playground, two terraces, as well as five conference rooms.
\nIn the same transaction, Best Hotels also acquired the Arinis Tourist Inn, located in the park of the same name, with a capacity of 140 seats.
\n“Tourism in Gura Humorului started with this hotel.
\nTwenty years ago, in Gura Humorului there were 72 places to stay, 80% unemployment and it was a deprived area.
\nAfter the SIF Muntenia came to invest in this hotel, Best Western became a pearl not only of Gura Humorului, but of Bucovine.
\nAnd the hotel also helped the city a lot in the projects for the slopes, the Arinis park and what it meant for the tourist development of Gura Humorului.
\nAnd now, in Gura Humorului there are almost 4,000 accommodation places, 50-60% of the city’s industry is based on tourism and another 20-25% on companies that work for those in tourism,” said the new owner of the hotel Edward Flutur.
\nThe new SPA center will be one of the largest at a hotel in the region.
\nEdward Flutur added that at the moment they are already working on a large project for the development of the Best Western Hotel, especially for the diversification of the services offered to the guests.
\nBy the end of next year he hopes to have a new SPA area completed so that the hotel will be more attractive for families with children.
\nEdward Flutur is the one who, together with the owner of the mega zip line in Arinis Park, inaugurated at the end of June the biggest panoramic wheel in the country, with a height of 50 meters.
\nThe Ferris wheel has 24 cabins, each with four seats, and a ride lasts about 10 minutes.
\nThe cabins are both semi-enclosed and enclosed, the latter being air-conditioned in summer and heated in winter.
