Traffic on the bridge over the Răut River and the railway overpass on the R6 national road, located on the bypass of the municipality of Bălți, has reopened following the completion of rehabilitation works. The two infrastructure projects restore route continuity and improve traffic safety and flow between the central and northern regions of the Republic of Moldova, according to data released by MOLDPRES.
The acceptance inspection was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Bolea, Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development, alongside the General Director of the State Road Administration (AND), Ștefan Popa, local government representatives, and the project contractor. The investment value amounts to approximately EUR 4.76 million.
The railway overpass measures 55.48 meters in length, maintaining the same configuration with three spans and two lanes. Contractual works, which exceed EUR 9.13 million, included mounting girders, laying asphalt mixtures, road connection over a length of 400 meters, retaining walls, relocating power networks, exterior lighting, over 160 square meters of road markings, 26 road signs, and 12 guide posts.
