JW Marriott Bucharest Grand Hotel is bringing the international immersive dining concept “The Magic Table” to the Romanian market for the first time, starting September 4. Hosted by the JW Steakhouse restaurant, the gastronomic experience combines fine dining with 3D projections, interactive illusionist acts, and multimedia effects, taking place directly at the guests’ table over the course of two and a half hours.
The project is developed by the German company 2Spicy Entertainment GmbH, founded in 2014 and globally renowned for similar formats such as “Le Petit Chef”, present in major urban centers like New York, London, Berlin, or Sydney. The artistic content and directing of the experience were designed in partnership with The Clairvoyants (Thommy Ten and Amélie van Tass), an Austrian mentalist duo internationally recognized as finalists on America’s Got Talent. The concept was previously launched in cities such as Frankfurt, San Francisco, Toronto, and Calgary.
In Bucharest, the dinner is structured into five acts, with four menu options available (Classic, Luxury, Vegetarian, and Kids). The culinary offering features local and international ingredients, such as Suceava black truffles, Voinești apples, foie gras, and US Black Angus beef tenderloin. Ioan Mătieș, General Manager of JW Marriott Bucharest Grand Hotel — a five-star property with 402 rooms, six restaurants and lounges, and 12 conference rooms totaling approximately 2,000 square meters —, stated that the new concept aims to provide guests with sophisticated, differentiated experiences within the premium hospitality segment.
