The Romanian state could partially nationalize the Blue Air airline

The state could nationalize, at least in part, the low-cost operator Blue Air. The Minister of Transport claims that a state aid is being considered to save Blue Air, on the model used by other states, but with airline operators, such as Lufthansa.

A meeting of TAROM and Blue Air with Prime Minister Ludovic Orban and Finance Minister Florin Cîţu would take place next week. Blue Air announced at the beginning of the month the entry into the preventive settlement procedure, a preliminary procedure but at the same time to avoid insolvency. Basically, the company also defends itself from creditors based on a plan agreed with them.
