Globally, many of the major tourism groups, such as Marriott, Booking.com, Hilton or Accor are restructuring, and sources in the domestic hotel market claim that this wave will not bypass Romania, whose domestic tourism has been severely affected in this year of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Starting with October 1, the Accor group moves to a new organization worldwide, which brings the restructuring of 50% of the head office positions in the world. Thus, from 16 regional headquarters structures, 8 will be reached again.

With the exception of the seaside, which had tourists this summer, but not at the level of last year, tourism in the rest of the country, including Bucharest, collapsed this year, hotel market sources said.
