The former Golden Tulip Times hotel in Bucharest is affiliated with the international Holiday Inn chain

The businessman Virgil Calina, the owner of the Ramada Nord hotel, signed a contract of affiliation of the former Golden Tulip Times hotel in Bucharest to the international Holiday Inn chain, a brand of the InterContinental group. This is the first hotel under this brand opened in Bucharest.
The hotel has also undergone an extensive modernization process, in order to attract supporters who will attend the football matches at the European Championship, which will be organized on the National Arena, located very close to the hotel. Virgil Calina specified that the rooms were modernized, the carpets, the ACs, the TVs were changed, everything being brought to IHG standards. 
The former Golden Tulip Times hotel was rated 4 stars and had 70 rooms. After taking over the property, Calina decided to give up the Golden Tulip franchise.
